Three Sisters Reach Their Goals
Thirteen years ago Zhou Xiao Fen and her two sisters, Zhou Ming Fen and Zhou Wen Fen got a chance to attend school with a help of generous sponsors in the United States. When a worker in China located these three young girls, they were living with their widowed father who was working as farmer to provide for the family. Their mother tragically passed away.
Three years ago, Ming Fen graduated from college with a degree in Food Quality and Security and Wen Fen graduated from college with a degree in International Monetary and Economics. This year Xiao Fen graduated with a Business Management degree in Building Construction. Xiao Fen has also volunteered in one of our care centers.
Where would these three girls be today without your help? We are grateful for many years of support for these sweet girls!
Another Inspiring Graduation Event
In 2006, we wound Wu Jie living with his grandparents in Xi’an, China. When he was three years old, his parents committed suicide together, leaving the boy an orphan. Our sponsors began providing for him when he turned 11 years old.
During high school, Jie was a hardworking student, putting in extra hours of studying. He worked really hard to pass the college entrance exam to fulfil his dreams for a better future. Combining hard work on the farm and hours of assiduous studying, Jie became a proud student of Xi’an Petroleum University. Our sponsors were helping him with the student loans all along.
During his second year of college, Jie shared his thoughts on relationships at that time with one of our workers: “I don’t have a time for a girlfriend – studying is my number one priority at this point.” Young man was going to school while interning at a factory in order to gain some experience in his field of study.
Four years later, hard work paid off and Jie graduated with a degree in Science and Technology in Exploration Engineering. This summer he will start his new official job in Xiamen City in Eastern China. This 21-year-old young man is grateful for the kindness he has been shown from sponsors in the United States.
Without care, love and support, Wu Jie would not have been able to obtain a college degree and a job in China. We are thankful for all of your contributions!
