Update on Recent Medical Patients
Lu Yanmao is a one year little girl who we recently provided open heart surgery for in China. She and her family live in a remote mountainous area in western Hunan Province. Her parents are farmers who grow vegetables and some other crops, but their income is not enough to support the whole family. Her father has to search for temporary work in local towns or cities when he is not busy farming. After Lu Yanmao was diagnosed with heart disease, her family had to borrow money from relatives to pay her medical bills. Yanmao was admitted to the hospital in Guilin, Guangxi Province, September 6th, but her surgery was delayed for two weeks due to pneumonia. She had open-heart surgery September 27th and is now home and recovering well!
Liang Chenhao is a nine-month baby boy from Guangxi Province who was born with heart disease which required life-saving open heart surgery. He is now at home recovering and getting stronger every day.

Following successful repair of her heart, she was discharged July 1st and is at home recovering and getting stronger.
