Yuxuan Tang is a 2-1/2 year old boy who had heart surgery in the US in October 2014. We featured his host family’s story in the November newsletter(original story available beneath the update).
We still remembered the night when we picked up Yuxuan at Beijing airport. It was a very cold night. Yuxuan kept crying and saying some words after we met him. We couldn’t understand what he was saying, but we could figure out a few words. He was saying ‘grandpa’ and ‘grandma’. He was saying a girl’s name too. We felt at that moment how much he missed you. He thought you were his family!
Uncle and Aunt, please don’t worry about Yuxuan. He is doing very well. He walks and grows taller. He is a good child. He makes many friends at home and has fun with them every day. Yuxuan likes to watch cartoon very much. One day we took him to our local county. He saw a Doraemon who was singing and dancing. He liked it and wanted to have it. We bought it for him. Yuxuan loves all kinds of toys.
Now we are working in a factory in Guangzhou City. Our parents take care of Yuxuan in my hometown in Sichuan Province. When it is convenient, we will tell our parents to send some Yuxuan’s photos, so you will see how he looks like. We are very grateful for your love and care to Yuxuan. Thanks for Agape workers, doctors, nurses and churches who helped Yuxuan! You all gave a new life to Yuxuan.
Yuxuan is healthy, active and happy every day. Even though we don’t get good education, we know we need to have a thankful heart. Treating Yuxuan like your own child, you will be remembered in our heart forever. We want Yuxuan, when he grows up, to return the kindness to the people whoever helped him.
When you have time, welcome to visit China and us. Yuxuan misses you very much because you are his family forever. We wish all the people who helped Yuxuan have good health, happiness and peace.
