Meet Ramya
Ramya was orphaned as a baby in the slums of a small Indian town in the 1990’s. Strangers brought Ramya to a Christian couple in the community who was known for their generosity and care for children. Rescued from the streets, Ramya found a new family, was able to attend school, learn about Jesus through daily devotions, and begin to serve others in the community alongside her adopted parents.
She attended college, and then earned a Masters degree in Social Work. Ramya returned to her hometown to teach in a slum school run by Agape partners. Every day she helps teach 100 children, shares her own story, and passes on the gift of hope that she has received.
In Ramya’s story we see the saving power of God, the importance of a loving family, and the beauty of giving back.
