Urgent Giving Need

Nepal

Help us continue our work in Nepal! In the remote village pictured below, children walk 3 or 4 hours every day to attend school. Many families are impoverished and survive on subsistence farming. Even more pressing, most of them have never heard the Good News.

Agape’s local leaders will care for 10 children through regular visits, access to education, help with immediate needs, and training for adult caretakers. With your help, at-risk children will be able to continue living with relatives and abandoned children will be placed with local foster families. As our partners build relationships in the village, they will share their faith and begin studying with families in the village to grow the local church.

About Us

For 30 years, Agape Asia has cared for vulnerable children in Asia. Today, our work spans 6 countries as we care for abandoned and at-risk youth, disciple communities, and empower local ministries.

Meet Ramya

Ramya was orphaned as a baby in the slums of a small Indian town in the 1990’s. Strangers brought Ramya to a Christian couple in the community who was known for their generosity and care for children. Rescued from the streets, Ramya found a new family, was able to attend school, learn about Jesus through daily devotions, and begin to serve others in the community alongside her adopted parents.

She attended college, and then earned a Masters degree in Social Work. Ramya returned to her hometown to teach in a slum school run by Agape partners. Every day she helps teach 100 children, shares her own story, and passes on the gift of hope that she has received.

In Ramya’s story we see the saving power of God, the importance of a loving family, and the beauty of giving back.
